Lenovo is betting big on the concept of smaller PCs for business and enterprise, with a quartet of new compact PCs.
Lenovo unveiled four new business desktops, with PCs large and small taking advantage of Intel's fourth-generation processors. The new crop of business PCs includes the new extra-small ThinkCentre M93p, the ThinkCentre M93z All-in-One, and the compact ThinkCentre M83 and E93 tower desktops.
The Lenovo ThinkCentre M93p Tiny packs a lot of power into its ultra-compact chassis. Not much larger than an optical drive, the M93p Tiny boasts an Intel Core i7 processor, along with a 64GB solid-state drive (SSD) and an optional solid-state hybrid drive (SSHD) for more storage. The small chassis is equipped with a VESA mount for mounting on a wall, and offers unique features such as Lenovo's "Smart Power On," which allows powering up the PC from a wired or wireless keyboard, and is Citrix ready. A second model, the ThinkCentre M93 Small Form Factor Pro, is also available, offering dual-graphics and hard disk drive support without all of the bulk of a mini-tower.
The ThinkCentre M93p Tiny and M93 Small Form Factor Pro are available now starting at $719.
At the other end of the desktop spectrum is the ThinkCentre M93z AIO, an all-in-one desktop featuring a 23-inch HD display and optional 10-point multitouch. Equipped with a fourth-generation Intel Core i7 processor, the ThinkCentre M93z AIO is built for business, with Intel vPro Technology for remote management and security, built-in TPM for added protection, and Windows 8 certification.
The All-in-One ThinkCentre M93z will be available this month starting at $799, with touch and non-touch models available.
For a slightly more traditional tower PC, there's also the ThinkCentre M83 and E93 Enterprise Desktops, available in mini-tower and small form-factor (SFF) varieties. Like the other new ThinkCentre models, these business PCs feature up to fourth Generation Intel Core processors, and storage options include 64GB SSD and a larger SSHD alternative. Made with small businesses in mind, the ThinkCentre M83 and E93 also offer security features like BIOS and HDD password protection and some tower expandability.
The ThinkCentre M83 and E93 will be available this month, with starting prices of $529 and $499, respectively.
