Targus AWE55US

Posted on 14:54 by Unknown

The Targus AWE55US laptop cooler is one of the most comfortable laptop cooling pads we reviewed. It has a dual fan system with extra room to circulate the air. It has a lightweight, comfortable design and fits easily in any laptop case. It will protect your lap and other work surfaces from any discharged heat from the laptop. For these reasons, the Targus AWE55US is our TopTenREVIEWS Bronze Award winner.

The dual fans adequately disperse heat and provide effective ventilation. Uncomfortable heat and improper ventilation often occur when a laptop is used on your lap or a pillow, but the Targus allows proper air circulation to keep your laptop working. This cooling pad has a wedge design with a gap between the fans and the bottom of the fan. This gap is the reason the airflow is so effective. This device doesn't have adjustable fan speed, but the speed of the fans is not distracting. The fans are quiet and don't disturb your work at all. The grated grill also contributes the optimum amount of air circulation.

This laptop cooler comes with a USB cord attached at the back of the device. It's secure so there is no risk of bumping it and having it fall out. The cord is long enough that it will reach to any available USB port on your laptop. It does not have a storage space for the cord, but it won't get in the way when not in use. Unlike the best laptop coolers, this notebook cooler doesn't come with an extra USB port. It will occupy a valued USB port, but keeping your laptop cool and protected from overheating is worth the loss.

The device doesn't offer adjustable height, but the slight incline it does have is comfortable for your wrists when you're typing. The laptop has four rubber feet that help keep the laptop securely in place. You can move those feet around the grill of the cooler, effectively keeping your laptop secure and in place. You shouldn't have to worry about your laptop slipping and sliding when it's on the Targus cooling pad.

The Targus is compatible with any laptop and any operating system. It just needs an available USB port.

This laptop cooler fits on your lap comfortably. The bottom of the cooling pad features a neoprene fabric that is comfortable when it's resting on your lap. It has rubber feet to prevent sliding when the device is on a hard surface, but you won't notice them when this cooler is on your lap. The fans are well protected and run a very low risk of being broken. This cooler is designed to fit up to 17-inch laptops. A smaller laptop will fit better on the cooling pad, but it doesn't matter the size because the cooler will still keep any laptop cool. A larger laptop may hang over the edge. It's not a deal-breaker, but it's something to keep in mind.

The Targus AWE55US is available in both black and silver. Its wedge shape allows a huge amount of space to pull in and dispel air from both sides. The smooth design makes it portable. You can easily take it with you to school or work with no added burdens.

Targus offers a one-year warranty. It's not the best warranty out there, but if any problems should arise with this cooler, it will more than likely occur before your warranty is up.

The Targus website has downloadable user manuals and a FAQs page. These two options are a quick way to get answers. Another fast option for getting immediate answers is with the live chat support, which is efficient and helpful. We were able to get our questions answered instantly with very little wait time. We were especially impressed that representatives answered our question with little technical jargon and used language that was easy to understand. There is a phone number and email you can contact, but they're not easy to find. Live chat will be the best way to get answers to any questions.

The Targus AWE55US cooling pad is one of the most comfortable cooling pads you can get. It has excellent air ventilation and dual fans that work well to keep your laptop ready to work for hours. Although you won't be able to adjust the height or fan speed, it is comfortable to use on any surface. This laptop cooler will prevent any excessive and uncomfortable heat your laptop can generate, handling the hottest and heaviest laptops with total ease.
